The work of Parisa Ghargaz, in collaboration with AI, the series shows us what a fascinating desert community might look like. It’s called The Desert Flower Project.

Whether you are intrigued by AI or despise it, it’s become a highly useful tool for those in the field of architecture, with a reported 41% of architects using AI in their everyday inspiration.

For us, this design evokes a feeling of both prehistoric dwelling and futuristic habitat, bridging the gap between old and new.

Inspired by the real life Pilosocereus pachycladus cactus, the overall forms have a unique, welcoming presence.

The bulbous shapes are paired with large, rounded window openings. Their form appears to be sculpted by wind and time, blending seamlessly into the desert landscape.

The structures are nestled among cacti, agaves, and other desert flora, emphasizing a symbiotic relationship with the arid surroundings.

The interiors continue the natural theme with cave-like curves, soft edges, and carved-out living spaces.

Neutral-toned decor echoes the surrounding palette, making it feel cohesive. The central fire pit reinforces a communal, grounded atmosphere.

The design avoids hard lines or modernist minimalism, instead favoring a cozy, earth-formed ambiance.

The palette, materials, and soft forms create a deeply calming, contemplative space, ideal for a retreat or eco-luxury getaway.
